Fairlight is a Firearms Safety Authority certified range, operated by NZ Wild Ltd and open to clubs and the public. It's usually open 10 am – 3 pm on the first Sunday of the month, and other days by arrangement. The range can only open when a Range Officer is on site, so check before you head out.
Before you arrive

How to find us
The range is on a working farm at Fairlight, off State Highway 6 between Kingston and Athol — about an hour south of Queenstown.
Driving from Queenstown: take SH6 south through Frankton and Kingston, around the bottom of Lake Wakatipu, and continue toward Athol. Turn-off detail to be confirmed before launch — for now, text the Shooting Range Operator on +64 27 442 1605 for directions and to confirm the range is open.
The range entrance has a sign. The gate is closed when no Range Officer is on site, so always check before you head out. Drive at walking pace past stock and close any gates you find shut.
Range documents
Range Guidance and Safety Code, and Standing Orders for the Fairlight Range — PDFs to be added before launch.
